Produced by Yoshinori Kitase, the movie is a part of Compilation of Final Fantasy series of media based in world and continuity of the highly successful 1997 video game Final Fantasy. The movie is developed by Visual works and Square Enix and the voices to the characters are lent by Takahiro Sakurai, Ayumi Ito, Toshiyuki Morikawa for Japanese version, and Steve Burton, Rachael Leigh Cook, and George Newbern for English version.

Final Fantasy Advent Children

The plot of the movie takes place two years post the Final Fantasy VII movie. The plot revolves around the appearance of the trio that kidnaps children infected with mysterious disease. Former hero Cloud Strife is suffering from the same disease is going to rescue the children. He comes to know that the trio has planned to restore to life into the villain Sephiroth using the remains of extra-terrestrial villain Jenova.

From the beginning to end, the characters are designed to look almost real and the animation is close to eerie level of reality. The animators have pulled up their socks to ensure the characters and the background work on CG looks realistic.The movie moves from several phases of CGI filmmaking process. Overall the features of the movie work with outstanding technical and artistic balance.
