The Dark Knight
Christopher Nolan’s‘The Dark Knight’ is one of the additions to the Batman series.
This 2008 film stars Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as the joker. Other important actors in the movie include Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
One of the most intellectual, hypnotic and notorious enemy of Batman, the jokerreturns to create nuisance in Gotham city. This time he has his own army and robs a bank, killing innocent people in the process. Like always Batman comes forward to save Gotham city and put joker in jail. The joker however, has bigger plans for Batman.
This movie has many action scenes that were shot using green screens. Only the characters in the movie are real, everything else is a result of visual editing that has been done on the green screen. The entire movie was mainly edited using Autodesk Maya and many of the scenes required After Effects for visual graphics.
The team has created gigantic holographs and solographs to populate the city and its buildings. The roads were first shot on a Canon Eos after which LIDAR scanned the surface to create a terrain map. The models of the city and its buildings are made using 3Ds Max. The Batpod and theBatmobile were alsoComputer Generated. The movie was shot in IMAX format, thus ensuring sharper images with higher resolution and more detail.
