The Breadwinner

The breadwinnerThe Breadwinner is scheduled to release this fall. It is an Irish Canadian Luxembourgian animation drama, produced by Cartoon Saloon. Angelina Jolie is one of the executive producers for the film. The film is based on the novel of the same name, written by Deborah Ellis. Nora Twomey directed the film. The movie stars Saara Chaudry, LaaraSadiq and Shaista Latif.

The Breadwinner tells the story of Parwana, a 12-year-old girl growing up in Afghanistan under the Taliban Regime in 2001. Her father is arrested, and now she must find a way to provide for the family and search for her father as well.

The theme of the movie is a struggle and highlights the lives of millions of girls in a similar situation who must grow up before their time and work to provide for their families. The movie is meaningful and aims to get people talking more openly about these matters.

The movie is set in Afghanistan, in a country where women often struggle, and the characters have been designed carefully, paying respect to the women who live there and at the same time, giving life to Parwana.
