tad the lost explorerEnrique Gato’s film ‘Las aventuras de Tadeo Jones’ is a Spanish 3D animated adventure comedy story that is famous globally as ‘Tad, the lost explorer’.


This 2012 Spanish film features voices of artists like Oscar Barberan, Michelle Jenner, Jose Mota and Miguel Angel Jenner. The English version features voices of Kerry Shale, Ariel Winter, Bruce Mackinnon and many more.
Tad is a Chicago construction worker who dreams to become an archaeologist. He takes place of a professor and goes to Peru in search of the lost city of Paititi. There he meets another professor and his beautiful daughter Sara who are his companions for this adventure. The professor got kidnapped by evil Kopponen and their mission becomes a lot more adventurous.
Produced by Toro Pictures and Lightbox Entertainment, this film is a result of 3D morphing and skeletal animation techniques. The animation team behind the film used 3Ds Max for modeling and movements of the characters.Autodesk Maya was used broadly for texturing, rigging and detailing.
The entire film is made using computer graphics, no real movements were recorded for the animated characters. The film is a parody of the famous adventure movie Indiana Jones and the protagonist in the film has the same attire like him. This movie has won 9 international awards and was nominated for 6 more.
