Power Rangers

power rangersPower Rangers by Lionsgate Movies is a 2017 superhero film based on a team of six inter planetary warriors.

Under the direction of Dean Israelite, this 21st century reboot, builds the foundation of story with five small-town kids taking up colour-coded superpowers after they get trapped under a pre-historic alien space rock.

The plot jumps directly into the origin story. Zordon (Bryan Cranston) is the human protector who led a team of rangers’ centuries ago. This team was destroyed by the deceitful Rita Repulsa (Elizabeth Banks). Lying dormant for centuries, Rita and Zordon both revived, and to ensure humanity is saved, Zordon who lives in a vast wall monitor must recruit a new crew to fight against the evil Rita.

The movie is almost entirely Computer Generated. Green screens were made use of during the shoot.  The spaceship was Computer Generated, all 8 blocks of it. It has sequences with VFX special effects in the form of realizing their strength, jumping long distances, explosions in the sky and the huge sky robots, which were created on the Computer.

The Zord, or the giant mechanical robots in the film, combined flight simulators and hydraulic systems. Even though it only shows the rangers seated in a cockpit and controlling the robots, Motion tracking and 3D visual effects made the scenes realistic.
