A Stork’s JourneyA stork’s Journey is a German animated film released at the end of June 2017.It is directed by Toby Genkel and Reza Memari. This is the first CG animated feature film written by Memari and produced by Kristine Knudsen. This story revolves around sparrow named Richard.

It was voiced by Drake Bell. The story of the movie is filled with life threatening situations and sad moments that come repetitively.
Richard was adopted and raised by stork’s family. In thewinters, the flock of storksmigrate to Africa. Richards’s family was forced to reveal the fact that he was a sparrow and he wouldn’tsurvive a long travel journey. So they decided to leave him behind in the forest with other sparrows. Richard thought his father didn’t love him and decided to follow them and prove to them that he is also a stork. During this journey, he is accompanied by an owl and a disco-singing parakeet.
The writer had created characters keeping in mind that target audiences are not only children but their parents too. The story line was inspired by American cinema like Disney Movies.

The visual development of the movie focused on creating characters that would appeal to children. In this film, they have used 3D CGI animation with the help of five studios in four different countries. The scene with Jane Lynch reflecting on her past and her imaginary friend has been done in 2D and is the only part of the film in a 2D animated sequence.
