Ferdinand

ferdinandScheduled to release in December this year, Ferdinand is a 3D computer animated comedy based on the 1936 children’s story book ‘The Story of Ferdinand’ by Munro Leaf. The film will star the voices of John Cena, Jerrod Carmichael, Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez and many more. The movie will be released in 3D even though the trailers have no mention of the same.

The movie revolves around Ferdinand (John Cena) a giant but gentle bull who prefers non-violence and flowers over red cloths and a fighting arena. Ferdinand is captured and taken away from his family and to a fighting stadium, forcing him to find his own way back with the help of some misfits he meets along the way.
The movie is directed by Carlos Saldanha and will be released on 15th December 2017. The film is a family feature produced by Blue Sky Studios and will be scored by John Powell.
The animation for this film has one aim- to make viewers fall in love with Ferdinand, who is stereotyped to be a raging bull, but is in fact a lovable, adorable bull. The movie is set in Spain, and the backgrounds and environment will be warm and fuzzy, lifting the storyline.
