Chaar Sahibzaade

Chaar SahibzaadePunjabi writer and director Harry Baweja’s ‘ChaarSahibzaade’ is a Punjabi 3D animation film that was also released in Hindi and English languages for the viewers outside Punjab.

This film is the highest grossing animated film in the country till date. The veteran actor Om Puri narrated the entire film.
The story is based on the true events of the history of Sikhs. Thisfilm is a portrayal of the sacrifices bythe four sons of the tenth Sikh guru Gobind Singh- SahibzadaAjit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh.The film shows the war between Sikhs and Mughals and highlights the sacrifices the Sikh gurus made for the community.
In the entire movie, the gurus have been shown only in still images as the Sikh community and the director believed that the Sikh gurus should not be animated. For the same reason, the director has also kept the names of the voice over artists anonymous. The production of the film took nearly five years.
All the characters of the film are result of the 3D modeling in 3Ds Max. The team has also used Autodesk Maya for the overall look of the movie. The animation work was handled by ‘iREALTIES’and the trailer was launched in Mumbai. In its opening weekend, the film earned 2.27 crore in total at the international box office.
