Arjun: The Warrior Prince is an Indian mythological action movie, directed by Arnab Chaudhuri and produced by Walt Disney Pictures and UTV Motion Pictures.The movie is based loosely on the early life of the Pandava brothers.
The movie begins with Arjun, a nine-year-old prince and keeps revolving around him until he grows into a warrior. The movie explores the life of Arjun with his brothers in the city of Hastinapur, his training, education and his discovery of the warrior within himself.
For over 14 months, around 70 artists worked in VCL office to visualize animation, rendering, lighting and grading.Autodesk Maya and Autodesk 3Ds Max modelling, animation and rendering software have shaped the artful backdrops and character animation that makes the visuals of the movie transcend other animated Indian films created till now. Advanced artists and technical directors used Maya Embedded Language to create a library of effects that were easily plugged into shots.
The movie has some stunning visual renderings of India’s ancient land and a perfect example of the ways Autodesk technology continues to excel. Arjun: The Warrior Prince makes its viewers charmed with the visual masterpiece VCL created for Arjun thereby raising the bar for 3D animation. Autodesk Flame has been used for creative finishing and colour grading.
