Reliance Entertainment’s production VikramVeturi’s‘Krishna AurKans’ is the widest ever released Indian 3D animation film. It was released in four different languages- English, Hindi, Tamil


and Telugu. Bollywood stars like Juhi Chawla, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher and Om Puri gave their voices in the hindi version of thisfilm.
This film is based on the timeless tales of Lord Krishna. It deals with the mischievous and funny childhood of Krishna and his encounter with ruthless uncle Kans who tries to kill him. The film follows Krishna’s pursuit to put an end to evil.
‘Krishna AurKans’ is India’s first stereoscopic animation film that was released in 3D. The term ‘stereoscopic’ is related to a process by which two photographs or visuals of the same object taken at slightly different angles are viewed together, creating an impression of depth and solidity. This process helped to create the three-dimensional look of the characters in the movie.
This film was entirely made in Adobe Flash platform by more than sixty animators and vfx artists. Digital paint and rotoscope artist of Reliance Media Works Shudhdodhan Milind Ambhore headed the entire vfx team and the estimate box office collection of the film was 0.8 cr. This film had also inspireda mobile game developed by ‘Jumps Games’ that was launched for the occasion of Janmashtami.
