The movie starts with the Hal Jordan (ChristoperMeloni), a test pilot coming upon a crashed ship and meeting a dying alien who has a special ring.

Green Lantern-First Flight

This ring chooses Hal to be Green Lantern. The Green Lantern Corps are a group of people known as the Guardians of the Universe who possess limitless source of power which is known as green element. After acquiring the ring, Hal visits fellow Green Lanterns who are not thrilled with the idea of a human joining the group but Sinestro (Victor Garber) fellow Lantern offers to train Hal under him. However Sinestro’s motives are not as pure as they seem.Blu-ray aids animation with the colours popping out of the screen. The animation is colorful and the animation depicting characters surrounding themselves with the green force bubbles to ward off ray gun fire looks spiritedly. The colour palette is deeper and darker to give it a one up above traditional animation. The soundtrack does utilize the 5.1 surround sound capabilities and works good for the movie. Less focus was placed on background details and elements, allowing viewers to emphasize more on the story line.
